Not refurbishing or replacing bezel etc

I read a lot that when sending watch for a service at the RSC some request to not replace bezel/ insert/Crystal etc...can you tell me why?

Well that depends on if it was say a quite rare vintage Rolex where its best to keep watch as original as possible.Now with the modern day Rolex watches that are produced in there millions, things like inserts crystals are not all that important.These items are just normal serviceable item and are often changed as part of routine service,much like the crowns, crown-tubes, and mainsprings.Things like the dials they are one of the most important things on watches. But like I said on modern day Rolex there is so many around perhaps in 30-50 years a all original Rolex might matter.

Watches are only original once, service parts are not always exactly the same section original parts dial and bezel font etc can change over the years. :thumbup:
