Where best to buy

Hi -I am new to the forum as I want to buy hubby a Rolex for his 60th. I live in Philly, there are two authorized dealers in Philly but I am willing to travel a bit to get a good deal. Any suggestions? Please and thank you

One of my favorite ADs is Govberg. They don't carry new Rolexes but they have some beautiful APs. They take in a lot of trades so may have some good deals on used Rolexes.

Govberg is a Rolex AD so they can help you out, visit the store on Walnut and deal with George.

I've always had a great experience at Wempe NYC - 1 JLC and 4 Rolex purchased there.

Welcome to TRF, Sayde! Some questions...
  1. Have you settled on the actual model of Rolex for the gift?
  2. Will this be a purchase you make and then surprise him?
  3. Or will both of you visit the shop and let him choose from the stock on hand?

Yes, lots of questions, I know...but it makes a difference in what to suggest.

If you're wanting to save $$$ then a BNIB deal here on TRF can fill the bill if #1 & #2 are "yes".

If not, and #3 is the likely plan, then I'd fly to Vegas for the birthday celebration, stay at the Wynn for an unforgettable visit and go to the Wynn Rolex Boutique so he gets the best selection of memorable models.

Oh - yeah - that last idea doesn't save money - but think of the memories you'll have. And the best thing? It raises the bar when he plans your next milestone birthday!
