Deepsea gone off the deep end

I recently joined the Rolex Forums but have been trolling around for years. As far as collecting I bought my first Rolex in 1993 (1665) and have never looked back. Throughout the years I have bought, sold, and traded just about every model produced between 1990 - 2006. In 1994, I started a business relationship with a jeweler in San Francisco by the name of Michael McNevin. When I tell you that he has seen just about everything under the sun when it comes to Rolex timepieces it is no exaggeration. He knows that I have been in the market for a Deepsea for just over a year and just came cross this piece from New Orleans that quite frankly has left me speechless. I am all for freedom of expression but this is just a bit much... Per Michael those are black diamonds encrusted on the watch.

I'm already not the biggest fan of the DSSD. That didn't help me change my mind one bit....

Horrible....horrible. This doesn't have anything to do with that poor Deepsea. This is watch abuse, I can almost hear it ticking for help.

Impossible to understand the rationale behind this silliness.

Can't say I am a fan of the way this DS looks, but to each his own. Anyway, welcome!

This looks better than if it encrusted with regular diamonds, but the plain DSSD looks best!!

Regards.

Lol whoever is responsible for that abomination ought to be put up against the wall.

What a terrible thing to do to DSSD.
