I've seen far worse photos. You could always ask for more detailed shots, and for the money that this watch should fetch, that's highly recommended if you're considering it. I think it looks pretty nice, assuming that it's what it says it is.

There is no information identifying the year of the watch but it appears to have the Mark IV dial (2.45 million - 4 million serial numbers.) All of the accessories are missing except the box. From the photos, it seems to wear most of the original "parts" except the insert which appears to be a Rolex replacement. The watch looks very nice for its age.

I think one of our TRF'ers was selling this a month or two ago. I remember looking at it with a friend. I remember these exact pics

I thought it was being sold out if Ny or NJ

Using stolen photos is very common among scam artists. Looking at his feedback, all of his prior sales history involves auto parts. I would ask for a current picture with his name and current date. Possibly with the watch set at a pre-determined time.

Those were ONKYO's pics from TRF, he has confirmed he already sold this piece, and it was a local sale to NJ/NY, not Australia. His pics were stolen

John, correct. It was Mark IV dial. And correct bezel and insert were replacement Rolex. Dial and hands were original and some of the best I have ever seen. The new owner is very happy with it.

Wow, thanks guys, wonder what he would ship to the winning bidder! Him not showing more pics and a detailed desc. surely looked fishy, now we know the truth. Plus he's from remote Tasmania where the chances of tracking him down physically on a conned sale are bleak for most Aussie citysiders.

Btw Pav, a very nice watch that am sure the actual owner is enjoying!

Hi Pav, reported! I suggest any other Aussie members here re report it for greater effect , there is a very small character count limit on the reporting post so just gave them this link with a few words as description.

He seems to have a nice little business selling car parts. Why would he jeopardize this by selling a watch he does not have? Maybe the account has be hacked. Just a thought.

Possible and hope EBay investigates, is a scary thought if it's a hacked account.

This "seller" didn't have any legitimate sales on eBay. (Only two very old, odd ones). All the feedback he or she got was as a buyer of car parts, not as a seller of anything. Man, what a scam. I hope this was reported and no money was sent. Sigh.

Most of those pics are Pav's photos and he is correct as I'm the new owner of his former Red Sub. I hope the winner didn't get hosed in the transaction :(

Reported from the UK, no problem.

Hope that Ebay intervene before funds clear.
