Question on DateJust

hi everyone. Looking for some input on a ladies Rolex with a white face and diamonds with Jubilee bracelet gold and ss (179174) What do you all think of that watch for a 40 year old? If anyone knows a AD who will deal on one, please PM me. Thanks again and this is a great forum

Welcome to TRF!

I canot see why a DJ like you describe shouldn't fit a 40-year-old lady. It's a timeless classic that will fit persons of any age.

I am sure there are some AD's that stock this model, or can order it for you. Remember that TT (two-tone) watches are more likely to be discounted than (certain) SS ones, so I would take the opportunity and ask for a discount while your at the AD.
10-15 % discount is not unlikely to get, maybe even more depending on the AD, your negotiation skills and payment method (cash tends to help).

Best of luck, and please post some pics when you get the DJ!

The ladies TT DJ is a timeless classic..it really doesn't matter what the age..

Younger ladies are going for the larger mid-size and mens size watches.... but from what I see at the country clubs, Cruise Ships, and charity events we go to, the ladies DJ is Queen by many magnitudes..

The two-tone Lady Datejust with the jubilee band is timeless and to me a classic Rolex. I have one with diamond hour markers and I am over 40. However I decided I wanted a watch that was a little less common and frankly easier to read so I recently acquired an all stainless midsize with a pink dial and white baton hour markers. I still love my old watch, but the new one will get a lot more wrist time. Just my thoughts.

Are you getting this for yourself..or as a gift ??

The TT diamond dial, goes with anything, whether you are wearing gold chains or platinum set diamonds.. or a pair of Levis and tennis shoes.

The SS version, while nice, is not as flexible.

The Jubilee band does not show scratches the way the Oyster band does...and a quick wash and wipe with a cloth, it's good to go out for the evening..

But, please.....get the one you admire and want to wear...all we offer is opinion.

Is your wife's other jewelry white gold/platinum or yellow gold? If she wears a lot of yellow gold I would go with the two-tone jubilee but if she wears mostly white gold or platinum I would stick with stainless. Just be sure to show us pictures of whatever you choose!

My wife likes TT. She has a platinum wedding/engagement ring set, and she likes the TT because it matches her rings while still having that amber golden glow...

Good deal. See if they will eat the sales tax too and it will be a great deal.

I have one of each and the SS I don't worry about as much - it doesn't scratch nearly as easily.
