Tudor Submariner 9411 - hour marker paint issues - fake?

Hi all

I am looking at a Tudor 9411 Submariner from a local dealer, and the patina and size of the hands look pretty normal, but the colour of the hour markers look unusual (pinkish in colour), and there is a clear smudge at 4 and 7. The rectangular markers also look a little longer than other examples i have seen.

Although there were a lot of paint/laquer issues with early 7016 and 7012 dials, i have not yet seen this type of pinkish patina on the hour markers, or paint smudge on 9411's.

Any comments or thoughts would be much appreciated

A 9411 reference has a date function.
Dial should read Prince Oysterdate.
Hands are too big and too long.
No reason to go on.

Yeah, if it looks wrong it usually is wrong in the Rolex world. Snowflakes can be faked well but this is not one of them. Notice how it looks scrunched, wrong proportions.

As others have said. Nothing is correct. That's an early fake from a couple of years ago. Key is the hour hand. It should be a square not a diamond shape

I had my reservations, and the proportions and marker colour did not seem right. When i told the old fart (vintage watch dealer) the hour markers didn't seem right, he told me it was a factory fault and could add value...

I am Going to take GREAT pleasure telling them next time i go past.

He will insist it is genuine and that you are misinformed. He will later sell it to some poor unsuspecting soul

I've reported a local watch peddler for trying to force utter garbage on me on more than one occasion and lying through his horrible teeth.
It's not only very annoying, but let's not forget that it's also very illegal. Ignoring it only encourages it.

Don't know what the equivalent body in the states is, but Trading Standards here take things pretty seriously.
Likewise, if it's a registered company and they have some junk advertised online or on their website, report it to the Advertising Standards Agency. They come down pretty hard and pretty quickly as well.

Haha, you mean "poes"? I see you know the bad words in Afrikaans!

I agree, we should not accept this, and after i have spoken to him i will consider reporting him to Rolex SA, or the agents. See first what he has to say when i tell him...

I think in this case by Pos he means: Piece of Scheize
