What if the hot air forced it’s way past the crown seals & dried out the oil?

Way too much of a risk if you ask me, .... I'll carry on using my shirt tail

I can confirm there is no short term ill effects. Although bit worried now about issues in the long term.

With air moving that fast you would also be at risk of abrasive wear on the metals.
Use it too many times and your watch would disintegrate right in front of you!

I'd be careful wearing it on roller coasters, putting my hand out of a speeding car and using a hair dryer.

Don't worry about Rolexes... they're very robust!
