Scratched my Panda

Hi all, I have scratched the bezel on my Panda. Its a silver line about 5mm in length. I cannot feel it with my nail but it seems to have polished off the brushed effect and is now shiny silver. Sound familiar ?

I had started to think this was just inevitable but having seen some pictures from the forum of other members watches with no scratches I am now thinking I should get this repaired. ( ia m unlucky) I take grate care of it and have no idea how its been done.

Please can you advise of the options open to me ?

Had a Panda and same deal, light hairlines would appear magically and I am
super careful. Not sure how they came about.

My advice would be wear and enjoy the watch as is...good chance you send it to AP for a polish and you scrape it again soon after.

If you find them unbearable, consider getting one with a ceramic bezel.

The SS bezel on the ROO is awesome, but is high and prone to hairlines.

Just leave it and don't try to touch it up on your own. Works well on rolex but not on APs.

The brushed SS polish on any ROO bezel is such a beauty to look at plus the very fine detail. It is a real pain to see any scratches on it but as other watches, once you wore it, it prone to have scratches - no one can change this.

First is definitely the worst, gets less painful after that. And all SS APs have them even though sometimes you can't tell in pics (just like when people post pics of themselves, the bad ones don't get posted, only the flattering ones). One way to ease the pain is to remember that you will be able to get it back to 100% if you want when you get the water resistance test or next service and if you ever need it, a bezel replacement is about $800 -- not the end of the world.

And I'm sure Hal will show the awesome battle scar on his ROO shortly!

If scratches get to be annoying, just get the bezel replaced.

You will enjoy it more as a result. I almost wish every new watch I bought came with a scratch on it to stop me worrying...because inevitably you are going to get one at some point!
