Red vs Green GMT

Is it just me or does anyone else feel this way. I had the chance to compare the GMT IIc and an older GMT II side by side. Yes, the ceramic bezel really pops, but I think the red hand and white lettering against the black dial looks much better than the green. Opinions?

No question for me, the Red is the way to go.

Absolutely yes!!! I think in the future that 116710LN arrow will be back to red color. It just for 50th anniversary, I guess.

I love everything on the new GMTc except that damn color green. I love everything that my old GMT except the smaller crown. Look at the old RED Sub and SD, they look so good and value are so high just only RED character on them. Another thing, have you ever seen sport car painted in green?

Most of the time, I would say red is better. But I really like the green. It's a bit unexpected and its restrained look feels nice. Hard to describe, but I find the green more soothing and relaxing.

Hi Buz,
I definitely agree with you, the GMT II C is a beautiful watch, but the green hand and the green writing on the dial.

I really hope that at the next Basel Fair Rolex will issue bicolor bezel (pepsi and red/black) with red arrow and red writing ...

Ciao

British Racing Green quite a popular colour for sports cars (jaguar, aston martin etc)

I agree. The green 24-hour hand is more subtle and subdued:

Also, you hardly notice the green GMT II writing.

Don't hate me, but I've never liked the pepsi bezel. Heck, I wasn't even a big fan of the GMT until I saw the IIc and fell in love with it.

I also hope that they now change the 24hr. hand to red and that will make the "green handers" much more unique and valuable.

This "Green vs. Red" reflects the modernist vs. postmodernist notion that one is greater than the other; that to subscribe to one way of thinking/preference is in no way compartmentalizing for easier understanding but simply defines taste in an otherwise challenging choice.
Yes, I like the "Red. Simply Red. Red Skelton. Red Buttons. Bare, Red cheeks lying on the beach." Just simple math.

You fogot one more word the most importance word regarding to red. It is RED HOT! Have any body ever hear some one mention GREEN HOT before?

Even they have the song mention for beautiful woman in red.
It would be very funny song if they sing woman in green. Or, I love my green head girl.
