Another would you...

Trade an AP rose gold rubberclad for a Rolex yellow gold Yachtmaster 2?

For reference my current collection include:
- Rolex DSSD
- Rolex Day Date 2 (platinum/ice blue roman concentric dial)
- Rolex GMT II (yellow gold black dial)
- Rolex Sea Dweller
- Rolex 36mm Datejust (TT / c.1983)
- AP Royal Oak Offshore (Rose Gold Rubberclad)
- AP Royal Oak Offshore (Panda)
- AP Royal Oak 15202 (40th anniversary)
- PP Nautilus Chronograph (5980)
- IWC Regulateur (stainless steel)
- Omega SMP

Any and all opinions welcomed and appreciated...

You post in an AP forum, the answer must be negative, you should keep the RG AP as you have enough Rolex in your collection

No. Unless if you don't wear the RGRC anymore, then there is no reason to keep it.

The Yacht Master 2 is a horrible looking thing in my eyes. It will not age well at all.

The problem is when you post on the Rolex pages the majority won't own an AP. However, most AP owners will also own Rolex models.

Posting on the AP section will give you the most impartial results.

Are you bored of the RC and looking or a change, or do you love the YM2? if your bored of the RC, How about swapping it for a RG 44mm?

Only you can answer that question. For me I don't care for YMII, but see personal opinion.

I wouldn't. The RGRC is a real presence watch.

IMO, the YMII is a fad for the moment and I would expect it to lose value as people lose interest.

It has a lot of presence as well and being gold, even more - but that's a Rolex that I pass on.

i don't really like RGRC (but if i can have one, that'd be awesome ), but there is absolutely "NO" to trade with Gold YM2.

Looking at your collection, you've got the chrono complication covered, as well as the sport watch look. If you're determined to part with the RGRC, I suggest you shop for a dressier rose gold watch with a different complication, perhaps an annual or perpetual calendar. I'd pass on the YM2.

It would be better to shoot your self on the foot. Sorry but that's just insane in my book for someone to even consider it.

No Sir!!

Keep the RGRC, it is one of the nicest APs in lineup. It sits much nicer on the wrist than the 44mm pieces as well. I have both.

Another route I was contemplating is trading the RGRC plus some cash for a 44mm RG ROO.

This would address my ongoing concern about the durability of the rubber coating over the bezel by getting a ROO with a ceramic bezel

YES. That is the answer--plain and simple. THAT my friend is an amazing watch that you will cherish.

Now finding one will be a challenge, even in grey market. Since the price drop, almost impossible to find a BNIB.
