Most "Under The Radar?"
What do you feel is the most "under the radar" Rolex in the current lineup? Explorer I 39mm? Milgauss? 36mm Oyster Perp No-Date? DJ II smooth bezel? Sub No-Date? Something else?

If people are asking you what watch it is, it is not "under the radar" ;-)
Explorer, without doubt, is the most "under the radar" of current production. |

ND Sub flies below the radar.. Explorer is also another good choice.

To the general public, I think the 114270 is pretty obscure.
I think that the Milgauss is probably in the same category. The AK, OP, Date, while not common are generally easily identifiable by most as being a Rolex, even if the distinctions elude most.

Fair enough but, when answering, I thought "under the radar" could also mean "not readily identifiable as a Rolex to a 'civilian'".

I would say an AK or OP with a light dial (silver or white) a sport model would be the explorer 1 just timeless and unnoticable

Probably the Exp I. I have the ExpII though and none of my friends have a clue its a rolex.
The thing is, if you know a little bit about watches the bracelet on Rolex's gives them away every time IMO. Its probably the first thing I notice. |

Has to be the Explorer I or the Air-King, both under the radar but stunning as well.

This question made me think of two categories. First, the most "under the radar" Rolex model I would have to agree with the Explorer I. The Explorer I is simple, a little smaller than the other models, no polished center links, and no date. Just a real simple watch that looks fantastic. The second area I thought about was the most "unknown" or "unique" model in the lineup where I would say the Milgauss. If you asked a novice watch person to name three Rolex models off the top of their head, they would probably say Submariner, DateJust, and GMT. Actually they would probably not be able to answer at all! Great post!
