Why do PM's not send ????

New to this forum but have used others on the same platform for a while so I can't work out why I am not able to send PM's.

I have receiced 2 PM's and when I reply it drops me back to my inbox and does not show them as sent messsages.

I tried to do it just as a PM instead of a reply to a PM and it still does not show a sent message.

I had a look at my profile settings and there does nto seem to be anything that can be changed to stop me sending PM's. Id there something at a Mod level that needs to be done or am I on some sort of probation period

OK. I may have this sorted now :-)
I found a setting that was turned off the saves copies of sent messages.
