Headwind

Just looking a breitling headwind on e-bay. Nice looking watch. 2000.00 w/box papers on leather. Can anyone tell me why it was discontinued, and if there were any problems with it. I did ask for #'s under band, he said he does not have a springbar tool but looks like 18003 or 18093. I know nothing about breitling, just looks like a nice watch. Any advice. Do these #'s seem right!

The Headwind is a great model. It's a bit large at 43mm but wears well. It's also very heavy; IIRC, the dial is made from silver. My guess as to why it was discontinued is that it never found its niche. It doesn't really know if it wants to be a diver or a dress watch. It has most of the features needed to be either one. $2K for a complete set is a decent price. I'd probably try to get a few hundred cheaper since it's on leather rather than the bracelet.

How do you like your headwind? Just want some feedback because there might be one in my future

I used to have one in blue dial.Ill tell ya one thing, there's not one pic out there that can do this watch justice. The dial is really something. It wears quite nicely, considering its size. You can rock it on bracelet, leather or rubber, it goes very well with all.2k sounds just about right, I really liked mine, kinda miss it.

i had a cream dial version. great watch although it did wear 'large' at its full 43mm size. nice large bezel and easy to read dial. 2000 sounds high for leather strap. does it come with the deployant? whats the condition of the strap? new leather strap is about $250 (croc is around $400-500?) and the deployant is a few hundred.
