Tony (justrolexes) saved me from a lifetime of regret!!
I wanted to share yet another great experience dealing with Tony (Justrolexes).
Several weeks ago I sold a Patek of mine to Tony. He gave me a very fair price for the piece, but one that still allowed him to make a nice profit when he re-sold it (as you would expect). All in all, it was a win-win for both of us and it was a flawless transaction. A short time later, however, I began to really regret my decision to part with the piece and was experiencing a huge amount of regret over my decision. I think many of us know that gut-wrenching feeling of having sold something and then wishing we hadn’t! Hoping to reacquire it, I decided to reach out to Tony and see if he had sold it already. Fortunate for me, he had not yet sold it and still had it in his possession. I told Tony that I would like to buy it back from him and asked what he would be willing to sell it for. To be honest, I fully expected to pay a price higher than what I sold it to him. Afterall, he is running a business and is expected to make a profit. Well what I a surprise! Being the great guy and consummate professional that he is, Tony told me that my cost to get the piece back would only be the amount he paid to me for the piece originally! I was so happy to be able to get the watch back without having to pay any more for it. Tony easily could have asked for a higher price, or held it to sell to another buyer which would have been more lucrative to him. No one, including me, would have faulted him for doing either. But being the stand-up guy that he is, he was willing to forgo profit to do the right thing by a fellow watch enthusiast. He even paid for the overnight shipping so I would have it sooner! For that he should be commended! All to frequently in the watch world we hear stories that don’t end well. Con artists, scammers, and criminals taking advantage of others. You need look no further than our “Watch Out” section to find plenty of examples of the dark side of watch collection. However, it’s so refreshing when great people come through and far exceed your expectations. We are fortunate to have one of those individuals right here with us on TRF! Anyway, I just wanted to share my story with all of those here on TRF. My Patek is back on my wrist and all is once again right with the world! Thanks again Tony! You are one of the best! |

I love these stories. There's only a few sellers here that I would not hesitate to wire a ton of cash. And Tony is one of them.
