Update on adjusting a Jubilee. Called AD
First, thanks to Bo for the information on quarter links.
I called my AD. They have a link and a quarter for $70. (no quarter links.) So, if you want an extra quarter link, you simply remove one link and add this one plus 1/4. Thought others might want to know. |

Thanks for the update, but I think Rolex should have been fair enough and thrown in that ¼ link for free along with the bracelet.
OMEGA throw in a ½ link for free along with all their SMP bracelets.....so I see no reason why Rolex can't follow suit considering the prices they charge. JJ

I really like the new oyster band, but boy, that jubilee bracelet on a DJ's really timeless in my opinion. |

Okay, thanks for the heads up! Then I was not completely wrong about having seen something about a 1/4 link in the price list. So it is a whole link extended by 1/4 of the total lenght of the link?

Yes--a whole link plus a quarter of the length of the link. 1 and 1/4 link.

That's interesting to know. I never knew that a 1¼ link actually existed. I guess one learns something new every day!!

The interesting thing is that I called another AD to confirm. The watchmaker (certified Rolex) said that it was unfortunate that Rolex didn't make half or quarter links for the jubilee. When I said that it was my understanding that they did, ht looked it up. He said that it appeared that there was a link and a quarter available for the 6 link side. He's going to call Rolex to confirm and provide a cost. So, it's apparently not all that well known outside of our resident expert Bo, of course!
