I need an opinion....
There's something I can not understand. Because Rolex continues to manufacture the YM 116622 and the 16622 virtually the same price? Someone will prefer the previous model? Also on the list is the 16623 but the 116623 is of production. Why? I do not think the market validate a price so similar between the new and old model. And what about the used? I would like to know the opinion of my forum friends.

I'm happy they still sell the 16622 since I prefer the platinum dial. I haven't seen any 116622 without that, only with the blue dial!

I believe the 16622 you're seeing is old stock. It's been replaced by the 116622 (plat dial and blue dial).

I agree that the new model number only seems to apply to the blue dial released at Basel this year..
If there are no changes to the Platinum dial version 16622, and they still produce it, there would not be a change in the model number.. Not sure why you think that the prices should not be similar.

Hi
Im about to buy a yacht, platinum dial and have been offered a 16622, new. I am also curious what the difference is against the 116622. Is it only the blue dial? Have they stopped producing the platinum dial in 40 mm? On the rolex site there is only the blue in 40mm. For 35 and 29 its still platinum. Very confusing this.. |
