The beveled edges on the watch. The angled part where the sides of the watch meet. There are some great videos on YouTube showing watch makers use metal, wood, stone to shape the edges of the watch case.

Love them and they help not getting dents on the edges of the case. Don't understand they stopped doing on the subs ?

It really is NOS. I had it serviced when it first arrived to me by Bob Ridley, but the bracelet is even "stiff" like my M-serial 16610LV bracelet. It is a fantastic watch but it rarely gets worn because of its condition. I just don't have the heart to ding it up. I do wear it occasionally on date night.
