Which ROO has see through back case?
I was wondering if the ROO see through cases at the back are after market or only certain models have them ?

44mm chrno's and most of the LE's come with see-through backs.
42mm ones and divers don't come with see-throughs. |

I've been searching the 44mm, they seem to be stainless backs. For example the safari, volcano, navy ROO don't have see through backs .

When I check eBay , Navy , Panda and Safari ROO are listed as 44mm .
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUDEMARS-PIG...item1e60691c54 Are all the sellers incorrect? |

The panda, safari and navy (as well as the diver, bubble bee, themes, rubber clad, etc) are listed as 42mm by AP but they do wear a little large. The 44mm novelties and LEs wear even bigger.

That's one of the reasons I went for a 44mm ROO instead of Safari, even though I think Safari is classier. I wouldn't feel entirely satisfied paying 20k+ for a watch, where almost all the 'additional' cost is in the movement finishing, without having a display caseback.
Note that basically none of the ROCs have a display caseback too. A shame, since they are almost the perfect dress/sport watch. |
