AP 15400 or AP Diver

I personally like them both but prefer the 15400! I just need your thoughts and opinion on both the 15400 and Diver. Both are fantastic with a 3120 calibre 40 jewels and 278 parts. Thanks!

Two very different watches. The diver is a bit sportier and the 15400 can be either dressed up or down. It depends on what you want really.

Unless you're really lusting for the diver, I vote for the more versatile 15400 too.

Tough call but I prefer the diver. The larger waffle pattern on the dial wins it for me.

15400. For me, if you want a sportier AP, go with a ROO chrono.

My heart embraced the 15400 and my mind goes to the Diver. The only thing I don't like about the Diver is inner bezel crown at 10.

Two different watches. In my opinion, you need both.

I had these two (Diver & 15300) and liked them equaly.

I got both and think they complement each other perfectly. The 15400 is more elegant, classic and dressy while the Diver is more sporty, a great weekend watch.

Between the 2 I will vote for 15400. But if you can stretch further go for 15202 Jumbo which is the closest you can get to the original Royal Oak in the best size 39mm and blue dial that is unique to this piece. The Diver is nice to have as a second AP IMO. And more appropriate for weekend. I have seen some wearing it for work in a suit and it just doesn't work no matter how you want to insist its fine and who cares etc..

If possible, both. I started with the 15400 and then got the diver for more casual wear.

I would love to own both, but for now one of the two. I was told that the 15400 blue dial is boutique exclusive due to the limited production compared to the white and black, IMO its a plus for the 15400.

As a first or only I would go with the 15400 between the two. Classic style royal oak in a more modern size with the awesome AP bracelet. Being able to see the outstanding 3120 movement is also a plus. The blue dial is boutique only now although I still think white dial is my favorite.

Both are fantastic watches and for me the only way to decide would be to say which will I wear more often, will I wear it more for casual, sporty times or more for formal, dressier times.

My decision was between those two watches, but since it was my first AP, I went for the classic option; the 15400. Versatile, beautiful and pretty much just like Genta designed it in 1972. If I would get another AP it would definitely be the diver.

I have both and love them both, some days I will go with the 15400 some others with the Diver, hard to pick a best between both.
I need to add 15400 a bit more versatile, looks great with jeans an suit, not sure you can pull that off with the diver, so it all depends on your lifestyle.

I tried both on and went for a Diver as my daily.

I think if you are a bigger build then go for the Diver - otherwise the 15400...

I like the 15400 better for a 'base' AP.

If you're going to go ROO might as well go all the way - FC, RG, 44mm baby!
