116520 Daytona, Creme Dial ?!
Dear Rolex Experts,
I got this 116520, SS White, P 935XXX from 2000 The dial is Offwhite instead of White. I tried to make it visible with a white paper but it actually is easy to recognize in comparison with the hour markers. http://imageshack.us/a/img842/3716/rx38.jpg Does anybody have a similar one ? I appreciate any information, pictures etc. as I quiet like it. Thanks for your help. Have a nice weekend, Tim |

Thanks for your replies:
additional info: I got the dial checked with my official Rolex dealer: The dial is authentic ( they even took it out and checked it from the back ). It also came with the Box and all Papers. |

Is it possible it got exposed to too much sunlight for a long time or something and it turned yellow?

It can happen with serial P, K, Y.
My opinion is that the 116520 cream dial will be the new patrizzi. Just to know: did you put your P serial inside a safe box for a long time without sun exposure? |

I have also seen cream dial 16520 and here is link to one that sold at Christies. When white dial turns ivory or cream really gives great look. It happened of course with EXP II's and here is fresh shot of my cream rail. Cheers,

thanks a lot to all of you for your replies, especially to SteelerFan65, for the link.
Fantastic colour on your Explorer II, hope my dial gets as dark as yours within the next years. |

It is something seldom seen - did it come with any paperwork?

Ken, you have one of the nicest vintage Rolex collection I've seen. That cream rail is no exception.
