What would you do ?

So here we go again. Got the call from my favorite AP AD today letting me know that he's got the two pieces that make AP great. The EOT and the RO Skeleton in rose gold. He is willing to sell me the EOT at his cost of $54960 and the RG skeleton for 42K. I know the EOT is the kinda watch that defines AP but I've always lusted after the skeleton since I sold mine in all steel. Another caveat if I buy the EOT which will be personilized to my city of choice, I get a week long vacation to the Jura valley with a visit to the AP manufacture and museum. Not a bad deal. So I have no idea what to do. Please help with your advise and expertise.

Very hard decision to make but I'll have to go with EOT on that one, it truly is a masterpiece!

The skeleton is a very nice looking watch but I'm afraid I cannot like it more than such a complicated timepiece, would you consider the EOT in rose gold?

EOT in RG is outta my budget at this time. I think the steel goes better with the white dial.

The complexity of the EOT is significant whereas the openworked RO is just skeleton plates. I don't mean to diminish the beauty of the openworked RO but the EOT is customized to your location.

He will sell it to you at his COST?

And that is a piece that makes AP great.

Shouldn't it sell for above retail if that were the case?

Skeleton would be my pick.

Is the 55K, really "his" cost? Isn't retail 68.700 usd? I'd think they had more "air" in them?

I'm a sucker for gold anyways!

Gold skeleton just over steel EOT but if in RG that's a different matter, maybe save up a bit longer to get the RG and the very best watch you can.
