26400 Panda or 26170 Panda

Which one do you think is more appealing in term of shape and size?

I've had both:

42mm has nicer colors, more pop.

44mm has nicer pushers, display back, and no worries about bezel scratches.

44mm...no comparison. More modern with ceramic bezel, crown and pushers also has the display back to see the wonderful 3126 movement.

I think it depends how long you intend on keeping it.

I think the 42mm is a 'safe' size to buy - the 44mm could in a few years go out of fashion.

Personally I prefer the 42mm anyway so that gets my vote!

42mm dial has a lot of character, but the ceramic bezel and modern styled pushers and crown of the new 44mm make it a better watch overall, so as long as you can pull off the size that would be my choice.

42 - nicer dial with arabic numbers, size, hornback
44 - ceramic bezel, pushers, display back

I want a mix of two with Schumi/Rubens bezel screws :)

Personally I prefer the 42 and it's Arabic numbers but love the ceramic bezel, display back and pushers of the 44. However it comes down to size for me and the 42 is the better fit on my wrist.

I like the 44 but the strap choices are limited. Also no bracelet.

So I chose:

I have to say 44mm for me...

Love the ceramic bezel, the fit and the feel.

Having the 44mm FC - it's a go to piece for me. That it shows zero scars is a huge plus.

I know the SS version may show some signs of wear down the road but it is an awesome piece.

***disclaimer - I would love to add the 44mm SS version

Mmmm. I have been debating this same topic myself as I have been looking for a white Dial ROO. This is a tough one I might add. For some strange reason the 44 does not do it for me. Its a bit stealthy and does not pop as much as the 42 because of the colors. Also the inability to have Hornback straps is a let down. This reference 44 mm was introduced in 2011and they have not made leather available?? I love rubber but it will always make the watch look sporty. At least with the 42mm strap option it adds elegance to it and also the bracelet is another plus. The only thing that I really like about the 44mm is that it has a clear back and lume if you think that's important. These are only opinions but I might go on Tuesday to my AD, and inspect them side by side. I might change my mind, but as of right now I think the original 42mm has the advantage in my book. If the 42 had a clear back that would be the icing on the cake.
