Hello,

I was watching a video of someone doing a hell of a job polishing a rolex and after polishing the center links he used this tool to brush the sides of the end links and was wondering what tool this is. It looks like metal but I highly doubt it's metal but could be wrong. That tool leaves such a beautiful finish. Please let me know.

Here are the pictures of the tool used that I need the name of and what it looks like after brushing the clasp

It looks like some sort of diamond coated file but like all tools if not skilled in using more damage could be done than good..

Do you have a link to the video - might help others help you...

As for the tool, it looks quite aggressive and could do some real damage if not well-trained in its use.

If you're going to brush tight spots, this is the best choice IMHO:

Cape Cod Cloth on polished metal, Scotchbrite 7447 Maroon on brushed metal; DMT Diamond Paste 6 micron to 1 micron on sapphire crystals, and common for acrylic-designed polishing compound on plastic crystals is my formula for treatment. Moderation is the key. Good luck

Leave the watches alone, you will loose the factory finish forever messing around with tools. Give me a factory watch with wear rather than some over polished watch.

No I'm not trying to polish my watch or anything like bat but when I saw the vid I was like "wth kind of took is that?" And wanted to know if anyone would know. In the video, it's a watchmaker that pretty much refinishes the whole watch and came out damn good which is why I'm asking.

That's good leave up to the pro to polish your watch. But I'm in the camp that never wants my watch polished. No right or wrong either way.

The problem is we are only seeing the back of the tool.

Do you have a link to the video, or at least another view of the tool..?
