Vintage Rolex may be coming to small collection soon..1675 or 5513?
I wear currently as my very favorites an Aqua Terra, Speedmaster Pro and SubC date in a rotation.
I have been strongly considering a vintage piece, either 5513 or 1675. Noting the above, what kit would you go with? No date 5513 Submariner (60's model) Pepsi GMT 1675 Master |

1675's give you the most bang for your buck on vintage Rolex sport models IMO. But honestly, once you get one, you will want to get the other, so get the best example of either model that you can find.

A GMT if you're looking for a variation. A 5513 if you're madly in love with a sub and would want an oldie to pair with your modern sub C date.

Some great info and perspectives thus far. Thanks all.
Here is some additional info if it helps.. Neither the SubC or the 357050 are leaving the stable. And I still consider not getting each of the aforementioned kits due to the following: A. I already have an iteration of a Sub B. I already have a watch with a date/cyclops. Option A would be 1675 over the 5513 and Option B would be the no date 5513 over the 1675. My collection is now purposefully small, and, at the moment I am leaning towards the 1675. However, this is open for consideration..where I defer to this forum's good judgement. |

You cant go wrong with either really. I have couple of vintage subs and the 1675 GMT, which was the most recent of the buys, and in all honesty, the 1675 is getting the most wear. Everything about it just adds up perfectly..........case dimensions, dial and hands combo, and last but not least..... the Pepsi bezel! These are awesome watches and have got to be one of the all time greats from Rolex! Mine is from around 1967/68 and people simply don't believe it. Anyway, whichever you decide.....enjoy!

1675! One sub is enough for me, personally. 1675's, especially with Pepsi inserts, seem to be strongly climbing in price too.
