Poll: Which one?
Which would you get?
In particular I'm interested in opinions on the PAM00526! 1. PAM00526 - flyback chrono with countdown, automatic 2. Patrimony - manual wind 3. 1921 - manual wind Last edited by codecow; 19 October 2013 at 10:46 PM.. Reason: Adding pics. |

Patrimony for me. I'm not a Panerai guy, so not a good source for that brand.

I'd choose the patrimony over most watches, except the 1921. That watch is truly amazing. Not sure how the panerai is even in the running against these two. Post pics of either vc, hopefully when you get it.

Another vote for the Patrimony here
The PAM is way too busy for me (although interesting), and the 1921 too quirky/old-fashioned for my taste

The complication is quite cool as well, flyback chrono with a countdown timer is pretty sweet especially with a 3 day reserve. When I get my next piece I will surely do an in-came-ing thread with the appropriate pics. |

VC Patrimony! The PAM just seems quite out of place compared to the VCs.

I vote Patrimony. It's a classic look that will be just as nice in 50 years. The others are novelty designs that are a bit more quirky. Something about the playful colors on the 526 makes me think of those ill fated Ferrari watches that Panerai made.

1921. Beautiful watch. Different from everything you see out there.

The PAM doesn't do it for me. The 1921 sure is different and stunning. But the VC Patrimony gets my vote for it's sheer timeless beauty, elegance, and pure class.

I'll have to vote for the 1921 as well, it's such a classic beauty.

I'm not a sailor... but is a 5 minute count down enough? Shouldn't it be more like 10 minutes like the yacht master II?

1921 for sure. patrimony is beautiful, no doubt, but, you can get that look and feel with other makers. the 1921 is unique and so awesome.
as for the 526, it has a good complication executed much better than the YMII, but, i don't think you can reasonably cross-shop it with the 1921 and patrimony. good luck with the choice! |

Tried on the 1921 yesterday it is great. Large case and very heavy for a dressy watch, only think not to like is the price.

Picked the Panny, the two VC are a little too dressy from me. Now if it was a silver dial VC Overseas Chronograph on that sweet bracelet it would have been my choice.. Heck I even love the three hand Overseas...
