Lost 6 seconds last week...

I decided to check the performance of my 14060 & ran a test. I wound it fully last Sunday at 11AM EST and set it against the World Clock on my iPhone. A week later, the watch is almost 6 seconds slow. Just reporting in. (Hey, come on, sitting in the office trying to make my day go by a little faster here fellas).

That's great Eddie and on par with my 14060m, it looses right around .75 to.80 seconds per day. Amazing!!

Just FYI, cell phone clocks are not a good timing source.

I've been impressed with my 114060. It has only gained about 8 seconds in the 23 days I've had it.

I am losing 2-3 seconds per day on Sub C. Fine with me. As my G Shock solar atomic for $70 is more accurate it does not get much wrist time other than washing the car. I only look for manual watches to be kind of close. It is nice to know they can be somewhat accurate.

Yep....sounds like great accuracy but do indeed try again with a more reliable source like time.is. I suspect your results will be slightly different from what you already have but still well within COSC specs.

Yup, I just started another test using time.is as the timing source.

I'm in a similar process with my EXP II but am evaluating the effect of overnight positioning. When I first got it it was +6 seconds/day with 24/7 wear so I had it regulated. At first it was +0.5/day but increased slightly after a couple of weeks to 1.2/day. Just for grins, I tried leaving it crown up overnight for 5 days and there was no change. I'm now trying it for 5 days in the crown down position. I suspect there will also be no change. Sometimes it's just entertaining to find out what your watch will do.

A tip to all of you. When going to bed place your bezel downward, this will make you gain 2 sec a day. When wearing it you will lose 2 sec or so a day. You will break even at the end of the month.
My subC LV is losing 3 sec a month in this formula.

Cheers

Hmm..thanks Nidal. I might have to try that. No harm to the movement by placing bezel downwards?

I've heard this before but wonder what makes that so? How is it better or worse than a website's clock?

Sure they are if you have the right app... I use Atomic Pro - it syncs with the US time servers...

Rolex says that bezel UP the watch should speed up a bit, so if your watch is slow, leave it this way... To slow it down, crown UP will slow it the most and crown down will slow it less but still slow it. This is all according to Rolex...

My 30-year old 16803 lost 15 seconds in the last 10 days. Service history unknown.

Got my 5513 back from RSC about 3 weeks ago. Since then it has gained total of 4 secs.
