The ones that got away.....

Hi guys,

As most of you know, I've been wheeling and dealing in Rolex watches for over 27 years now.

Here are pics of some of my babies that have long gone. I have just Bluesy and Platty for now.

JJ

First Bluesy purchsed in April 04....then sold a year later for the TT Blue YM.

First SD purchased in June 04....sold later...

Black Expy....bought after selling off my OMEGA PO.

TT Blue YM which I enjoyed for about a year...

My 4th SS Sub-date....sold later for my 2nd SD...

My 2nd SD purchased March 07.....and sold off a month later to Eddie (directioneng) on our forum.

Then I went for the white Exp-II....

....and the green LV...

And finally, LV and white Expy had to both go and make way for...

Well, JJ, in light of your recent adoration posts for Platty, I think you have finally found your white metal sporty "dream Rolex," and Bluesy fits the bill for your TT sporty!

JJ,

Your most recent purchase which is the YM is IMHO the best looking watch out of your past and present collection. It's a keeper IMO.

What is the reference number of that model?
What is the MSRP of that model?

Thanks.

Wear it in good health.

Thanks for the response JJ. I actually meant to ask the Model Number but typed reference number by mistake. Wrong terminology.

I meant model number as in: 116710 for the GMT IIc etc.

This model No. is 16622. The bracelet is all steel, centre links are also steel, but they are SOLID and polished.

The dial is solid 950 grade Platinum as is the entire bezel and bezel insert. Markers and hands are white gold.

It looks like it took you a long time to find the Rolex you are happy with longterm, but hey, now that you have it, the Platty, you should be happy PERMANENTLY, right?

I wonder if the Rolex company has a "ideas for new models for JJ" section? If not, they are missing an opportunity, it would seem.

Ohh okay anyway but all of the cases at photos look quite 27 years old, and since 2005 cases are being updated as the fashion of everythings' styles and it s now time to update, I would sell my BMW to buy newer one but I will use my 8300 USD at ROLEX for now and I will change my car later after summer.
