Icon20 Help on Swiss Luxury, Alan Furman and DeMesy

Hi all.

Well I am getting close on making my first Rolex purchase. I think I have narrowed my search down to either an older GMT Master II 16713chser or the new 116710 in TT.

DeMesy has both as used watches for about $7k.

Swiss Luxury has the 116713bk for $8k cash or $8.4 credit card

Alan Furman has the 116713 for $8.4.

Can anyone tell me if these Grey Dealers are reputable, and which would be best to buy from. Also is there a very strong advantage to buying the new 116713 vrs the older 16713?

Thank you for all of your advise to date.

BChan

I have never bought from GM - but I have heard here on TRF that both Alan Furman and Swiss Luxury are ok. I don't know anything about DeMesy. Try to do a search - you will definitely find a lot of threads on GMs.

I 've also heard that all of the dealers that you mentioned are legit with a solid feedback and background in the watch dealing business

Bought my TOG through Swissluxury and the item came as promised with all tags, boxes, plastic protection, etc... I would buy another watch from them without any doubt in my mind.

I've heard both are legit. Their prices seem high to me though. Are you really saving much vs going to an AD?

BChan, I sent you a PM.

As others have stated, those prices are way too high for getting a grey market watch. You can get the same watch for almost the same price from a Rolex Authorized Dealer and the paperwork will be in your name and you assured of getting 100% of the 2 year warranty.
