What are we called?

So, we have people into audio and speakers being called "audiophiles"...

What does that make us?

Horophiles?
Watch-o-philes?

A lot of people seem to think we are idiots, so WIS is very apt.
Mainly because we spend so much money on watches that do the same as a £10 quartz.
Hell I love being an idiot don't you

And here are the definitions:

Wis = Watch Idiot Savant.

1.A person self trained to sleep in 5 positions while wearing his/her COSC certified chronometer in bed.

2.A person who opens the back of a new Patek on the first day of acquisition and hand winds the rotor to tighten up the main spring.

3. A person who takes his 2000 meter water proof Rolex SD off from the wrist. And puts it into the deepest pocket, and three plastic bags before walking into a rain storm without any rain gear on.

4.A person who waits every 5 minute in front of his radio controlled clock in order to adjust all his/her 14 mechanical watches to the accuracy within -2/+2 seconds per 24 hours.

5. A person who can memorises all serial numbers of the Rolex watches made in the past 60 years but keeps forgetting the wifes wedding anniversary.

6. A person who washes his/her watch in luxury shampoo, polishes with specially bought cloth. Then rests it on another specially bought cloth just encase they scratch the stainless steel.

My wife just calls me an idiot!

Spending so much $$$ on a watch

Taking pictures of my watch

Cleaning my watch with warm water and soap

Posting pictures of my watch on TRF

Wanting another Rolex

Freaking out when I bump it on something

Going into the bathroom at night to see the "LOOM"

Stoping at AD's just to look (same as strip clubs, right?)

Looking at everyones watch

Looking at my own watch all the frigin time

You're right on all counts Mike I was taking a wrist shot at a football game in he fall and my wife said to me "Taking a picture of your watch for your forum buddies again."

I associate my looking at everyone's watches to how women always look at each other's diamond rings
