Calling all audiophiles!

As many of you know, multiple hobbies accompany the watch hobby... so I'm just wondering who else in here are audiophiles!

Post pics and describe your system if you can!

I used to be into hi-fi for quite a few years.

I started with a Linn Basik / K5, Myst TMA3, Tannoy Jupiter in 1990.

Quietly upgraded turntables through Manticore Mantra, Sondek Ittok, Michell Gyrodek SM IV, Orbe (DC) SME V (rewired/modded) with Lyra Helikon and a modified Michell ISO HR MC phono stage, sat on a bespoke Townsend sink, handmade by Max.

My preamp was a Chord CPA 4000, power amp SPM4000 and Audiophysics Caldera loudspeakers, CD was the hefty Copland 289,wiring by Nordost Valhalla throughout, power cables were RA Silver Classics.

I had a pretty large record collection and that was my "hobby" though I was working away so much I didn't have much time to chill out with the music.

I had a mishap on a work project resulting in a degree of of loss of hearing in my left ear and decided to downgrade to a more modest system.

This downgrade funded my 116718 GMT C. I then downgraded my "downgraded" system which funded a Zenith Chrono and a COSC 14060m.

I now never use my downstairs hi-fi. I have a X-fi Plat PC Soundcard with superior op amps that I fitted and a pair of HD650 headphones.

I listen to lossless digital music and plan to sell some of my rarer LPs to fund the next Rolex.

I can't place any pictures at the moment. The Chord amps looked spectacular on their Integra legs.

Here is a library pic of the Chord Power amp. It weighed about 120lbs and the pre amp wasn't much lighter.

I have all Denon and Nakamichi equipment. My speakers are Polk's and Jamo's. Not of the caliber of tubed amplification but does the job.

I don't have the money for all of my hobbies.

Any rich person need an heir ?

Well, part of my former setup consisted of (mind you, 1980s):

SytemDek II with Mission 774 arm and Kiseki Blue cartridge, Siltech rewired,
l' Audiophile 'Le Valve' pre-amp, replace by a Krell PAM-1,
l' Audiophile Class A power-amp, 2 x 20 Watt at 8 Ohm, 2 x 40 at 4 Ohm, 1.5 Farad capacitors.

I'm a great fan of early Mark Levinson equipment but wouldn't sniff at the stuff made by Madrigal now either
