5512 / 5513 bracelets?
Hi everyone: I'm kind of a newbie collector searching for a vintage 5512 or 5513, and I notice many come with NATO, leather, or other seemingly after-market, non-SS bands instead of what I thought would be original SS bracelets. Why is that? Were the SS bracelets optional at some early time? Just get discarded over the years?
Thanks for any guidance. Hope everyone's have a great holiday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

over time the bracelets get stretched and replaced by a cheaper nato. Also many sellers sell vintage watch heads without bracelets. You can always add a 93150 to any vintage piece you buy and you will be good to go.

Many of these early bracelets simply wore-out and were discarded. The watches were not overly expensive at the time, so many owners just used what they could get their hands upon.
$10,000 for a SS watch, and it often gets treated a little different today than it did back then. JMHO
