Extended Non Use
Hi.
If I'm planning on setting my 215670 aside for a few months not on a winder, should I unscrew the crown? Thank you.

No...leave crown in and let it wind down. Some may comment to wind it once a month if possible, but I don't think it matters with your watch.

Hi,
I've got a question on my mind for a longer time now. Is putting a watch, that is never being worn, on the winder over all that time really recommended? Finally, the rotor spins all the time, which, at least in my imagination, cannot be good for the movement. Can someone confirm or argue? |

+1 but I do turn whatever I have sitting on it's opposite side every month and give each a full wind usually every other month or so. I always let the crown screwed in and just let them wind down.

Thank you.
To clarify my question, I will let it wind down by unscrewing the crown but not pulling out any, just unscrewed. So I should let it wind down, but no point to unscrewing the crown? Thanks.

Just let it wind down, unscrewing the crown will make no difference as to how it winds down.

Thank you. I read, which accords to my point of view, that the crown position does not matter at all. Meaning...
crown open -> relax crown closed -> relax :) |

Not winding it or touching it for a few months will make no difference... just don't forget about the watch!

I don't think letting the watch stopped for months will do any harm
If you are talking about years, then there may be problem

100% keep the crown screwed down and no harm can happen.
I am a huge winder guy for my daily 'go to' watches but positively think it makes no sense to leave a watch on a winder when you know it won't be worn for extended periods, even really a week for that matter. Just leads to undue wear. The benefit of the winder is for those short 2-3 day periods where it's off the wrist and frankly setting the time past 12 to see if it was a date change or not and then setting the date is just annoying. |
