ROO FC 26400 / ROO Ceramic 26402 or ROO SS 44mm 26400

Hi TRF's looking at a few options on my next purchase i already own a submariner 116610ln and i would like to add a ap as my next collection, so i narrowed it down to these 3 options would be great if i have some question answered and some input on these watches.

I have not seen these pieces in person and i will when i travel to the nearest boutique . I prefer the 44mm models as compared to the 42mm with the rubber pusher ,it just dont appeal to me that much because of the dial and rubber chrono pushers i preffer the styling of the 44mm my question are as follows:

1) how do they wear on a 6.5 -7inch wrist, i dont think a have a large wrist (4links on the 6oclock and 5and a half links on 12 oclock on my submariner)

2) how durable are the forged carbon and the ceramic ? in terms of scratches knocks and dings, I am a very very clumbsy person as i frequently knock on my watches.

3) is it worth that amount of $$ around 30,000usd for the FC and Ceramic on chrono24 as this is my frist time buying exotic material

4) possibility of new models that comes in that type of styling: Square pusher and stick dial.

5) i dont intend to sell any of these pieces no matter what, i am slightly worried about the styling in future as metals tend to last forever in terms of styling

6) service cost

I personally are leaning more towards the Forged Carbon model as i find that more appealing hopefully i can make up my mind and source for 1 from a trusted seller here !

All thoughts and inputs are greatly appreciated or links of reviews and wrist shots are even better.

I think they will probably be too big for your wrist unless it is very flat, as they wear like 46mm. I have a subc like you and 7 inch wrists and a 42mm ROO is as big as I will go, they wear like 44mm, and I have had/have 45mm Breitlings and a DSSD.

Also the ceramic bezels will probably be on the new 42mm ROOs out very soon so best to see what they offer.

And from the guys here most say that both ceramic and FC are pretty durable and can take knocks.

Personally, I think the SS is decent value for $21/22K, whereas the FC is a bit overpriced and moving too much into gold territory.

Go for the 44 FC for sure. It doesn't look as large because of its dark colors. I have a 7 inch wrist. It feels light and very comfy. Also, it incredible hides any scratches. Mine still looks brand new after 1 year of heavy wrist time.

You should be able to land one for around $27K BNIB for on elf our trusted sellers or even an AD if you have a good relationship with them. Chrono24 prices are pretty high in general.

Good luck with your choice.

They are all technically part of the 2012 collection.

As for which watch, personally I think I prefer the SS because I was a huge Panda fan (my first AP).

For what it's worth, I have a similar wrist size, and felt both 42 and 44mm are fine. I'm on my 3rd 44mm case.

I LOVE AP forged carbon. If the 44mm is too large I suggest trying the diver. I found the 44mm FC a little too mono tone and went with the diver for the splash of yellow and the ss 44mm because of the color combo.

Here's more info on FC. AP started testing it in the 80s and the first watch was produced in FC in 2007. http://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/lat...-forged-carbon

I've worn my FC diver almost daily for the past 5 months now. It's been through all my normal daily activities and still looks brand new. The unique look of carbon combined with the light weight makes it one of the most comfortable and durable watches I've owned. My other watches are feeling neglected from lack of wrist time but I can usually only wear them for a few hours before I miss the FC diver.

Yeah I saw a few pictures of the FC I gotta say the uniqueness of the white and black marble just makes your FC one and only ,however I feel that the price of FC is a little bit too high never the less I will drop by the boutique tmr and give the 44mm a go if i can't pull it off I guess I'll have to pray really really hard for a 42mm roo FC !!!!!

Pricewise, there isn't too much difference between the FC and SS (about 3K if you buy on TRF BNIB). Ceramic 44mm is much closer to RG in pricing.

FC everytime. For the weight, price, look, size...yes FC!

To me simply just about the perfect AP. Size is great on 6.5-7.0" wrist (my is 6.5").

Just checked out the 44mm ceramic ROO yesterday and have to say I would go for it over FC, weight is very similair to Ti so feels just great on the wrist, but you know you are wearing it. The finish on the ceramic is beautiful, looks like DLC with a grain like polished metal. Only downer is the price, More than FC. Also I believe long term durability will be better in the long haul.
