You made the right moves. Not keen on the white diver - may look a lot better in person. I really like the ceramic diver, the quality of the finishing on the ceramic is fantastic quality.

Honestly, I think it looks like a plastic children's watch.

At some point AP should simply say as the bear above... NO!

They're smoking something in Le Brassus....

My first reaction upon seeing the pics:

I find it hard to believe that it's any better in person, yet someone of impeccable taste, whom I trust completely when it comes to all matters horological, was at SIHH and fell head over heels in love with it... We shall see.

Adam

Oddly enough I don't see very many APs on wrists here in the wild. (Or at all)

Everyone wears a sub or date just ... I feel like a lone soldier carrying the flag. Panerai's are very popular though and unfortunately hublot has made its way onto certain peoples wrists (or knock offs)

Places I have seen APs in wild: Las Vegas pool party, Honolulu, Chicago and various EDM DJs whenever I see them.

I think the 44mm white ceramic is the prettier of the two...but still I'd feel too douchey with a white watch on my wrist

There will be a market for it...mainly rappers and sports stars.

I guess these are the people that spend more than us mere mortals though and who AP will want to get (and keep) as customers...

a part of me agrees...BUT...it's hard to really judge until you see it in person. maybe it's something extraordinary once you see it in real life.

regardless, I hope the smart people AP knew what they were doing making this thing...but hey, it could be a limited production watch anyway like the black ceramic Diver, and in that sense it might not hurt to take a few bold risks like this one.

That’s one of the reasons I really like AP!

Traditional Jewelers is the only AD I’ve found in OC and AP really doesn’t seem that popular around here. I’ve seen a couple in Laguna, a one or two in Newport, a nice 44mm RG novelty in South Coast Plaza and a Ti ROO Themes at Bad to the Bone BBQ in San Juan.

Rolex, Panerai and Hublot seem to be everywhere around here.
