Grail Arrived!

..and I'm terrified! I'm almost afraid to leave the apartment with it!

That said, I can't stop looking at it. It also means that I'm probably done buying Rolexes, as I can't imagine ever needing another. I now have my birth year (1966) gilt dial 5513 Sub. For me, no other watch comes close to the sheer perfection of its authoritative elegance. Not overstated, not too flashy, rugged, but stylish. Just...perfect.
I also, want to give a very big thanks to Philippe Capurro of ExoticWatches.net. A true gentleman.

It's currently being worn w a 1966 C&I bracelet.

So...here it is:

Indeed, there is still some glow. More than anything, I love how puffy the pots are!

Yeah, not sure that's gonna happen anytime soon! (It's 23 degrees here in NYC!)
And probably not in the future

It looks like one of the Subs from the original James Bond movies with Roger Moore. Congrats.

Many congrats and enjoy! Lovely dial and killer insert. The plots on my '66 gilt 1675 still glow a little, too.
