Platinum Red Sub

I was reading another thread where someone was saying they believe Rolex will eventually release a Platinum Submariner. It got me thinking...

Do you think a platinum red sub would sell like crazy (well in comparison to other precious metal models)?

** I'd actually prefer the second hand to be red as well... although I can't afford an all platinum watch regardless

Picture from this link in case anyone is interested: http://rolexblog.blogspot.com/2010/0...edictions.html

A Pt Sub has to be different in looks to the existing SS and WG Sub, in a way that it is immediately recognizable, even from a few feets of distance. So black and blue dial+bezel will not be on it. My best bet would be a glacier blue dial and a gray bezel.

Good point.. and I'd be a huge fan of a gray bezel.

It's like when you sometimes see those faded "ghost" submariner bezels... from a distance it appears to be a gray bezel and black dial... looks awesome.
