What SIHH model is your wish?

No doubt the hottest property in the Panarai world in the last 12 months has been the 127 and 217. Both these watches were released several years ago, but due to limited numbers and demand their prices have skyrocketed. They have a 47mm case size which is pretty large by any watch standards, call it a trend, but after several years what might have been called a 'fad' is still in vogue, and it seems other watch manufacturers are following with larger case sizes too.

So in April Panerai will be announcing their new models.

I have only 1 wish, I'm not asking for much but I would like to see a new release:
(a) in 47mm;
(b) with an 8 day in house Panerai movement;
(c) with a sandwich dial;
(d) with the 12, 3, 6, 9 arabics all displayed;
(e) available in both brushed SS and titanium;
(f) cosc rated;
(g) with a display back;
(h) with a small second subdial next to 9 O'Clock;
(i) with a date feature at or about 4 O'Clock;
(j) a anti-reflection crystal without cyclops.

As I said, I'm not asking for much

47mm, Steve.

Wouldn't that be considered a pocket watch (or a clock even) ?

I do have my doubts about the long term viability of a 47mm case, that is for sure. But as I said the hottest property at the moment in Panerai is 47mm
I would be happy to settle for 44mm.
The 47mm would be a bit of a struggle to get under ones shirt cuff, and 47mm.
Not having ever worn a 47mm I don't know if it would work for my 7.25 inch wrist.

If I had to choose one model that is out I would love that new Tourbillon with GMT pictured here
http://www.flickr.com/photos/allen-qu/1566701914/

Since these huge models dont fit my wrist, I would love the following
-40mm case
-sandwhich dial
-manual wind w/8 day reserve (and meter)
-display back

Tobacco dial that's interesting and different, is there any reason/s why you prefer that to black?

As I understand it tobacco dials are used only with titanium models???

O.K. thank you Daren, so the tabacco dial as it is called is a very traditional dial and is use in the 'historic collection' of Panerai models.
I do appreciate you knowledgable in put to this forum so thank you very much

Put the inhouse movement in any of them and you have $10K minimum price tag, probably higher.

Well I'd happily pay 10K (if I had the cash) for a watch that I've envisaged, because the 127 and the 217 are twice that price, and they don't have a date or an in-house movement

Black Ceramic Base and Marina historic.

-No- sandwich. Ideally, painted like the old T dials (one can dream right).

The old dials looked like this...
