Pics of Pams with Mausers wanted

Thought I had finally put an end to the strap madness, but…

Yesterday I ordered a Mauser from Micah, and 3 Kodiak waterproof straps from tcstraps, I have to say that Elliot from Tcstraps which is on this forum is a great guy to do business with, in all It'll be 9 straps that I got from him, in the straps that I ordered yesterday, all the straps except one come with a sewn in pre V buckle in size 22mm, and 1 in 24mm (a Kodiak, the Mauser comes, at my request, with a 22mm buckle), the 24 is ok for my 233, but they just seem too big for my 28 and 82, the 22mm seem more appropriate, that's mainly the reason why I'm giving away my Pre V by MP with a PVD buckle, see my thread about the Mario Paci being given free of charge, still haven't got someone who needs/wants one so the first person who wants it gets it, the buckle just seems too big for the watch.

So waiting impatiently for my 4 straps to arrive, not very soon since the Mauser and 1 of the 3 Kodiaks are custom made and need about 15 days to be made and shipped, but will be sure to put pics of them on my pams when I get them.

For those of you who have Mauser straps would like to see some pics, as each one is unique, since as they say; "one pouch, one strap"

For my Mauser I chose from a pouch which is rather "light" brown than very dark as most of them are, especially that the cream that Micah includes with them for leather care, makes them darker.

So please guys show us your Favorite Pams with your Mausers

The Mauser is all that. So soft, rugged, unique and that smell....

Also, the whole experience of picking "your" bag and having your strap be the only one of its kind is pretty great.

That all being said, as soon as I can find the cream Micah included with the strap, I am going to try to darken mine a little. I went very light.

FWIIW, I think the light color of your strap is amazing. It really makes it pop.

Very nice straps everyone , I also like Cru went for very light, will see when I get it whether I darken it or not, there's also baby milk (for skin not to drink ) which darkens very well, did it on a pair of shoes once the result was great, or maybe just leave it as it is, after a while it'll darken anyways…

Ordered also a swiss ammo strap with stamp, waiting for the Mauser and this one impatiently, here's a pic to show you, I love the stitched stamp idea...

Seeing Cru's pics with the stamp on the inside I just sent an email to Micah asking him what he would think about putting the stamp on the outside, buckle side 3cm from the case, I think it would look pretty cool, like I said I really like when there's a stamp, it gives a vintage strap a more genuine feeling, and it seems that his stamp would look nice on the visible part of a Mauser. What's your opinion?

Whatever makes you happy is my opinion.

Personally, I'm not much into stamps, though I can see the appeal of a genuine marker in the leather from 50 years ago. But, a branding marker by the strap maker? Not so much - for me, it wouldn't feel authentic, but, again, that's just personal taste. I even ask makers, when possible, to put plain buckles on their straps instead of branded ones.

Here we go. The pic below is after one treatment of Dr. J's. I understand from Micah that two treatments may be needed.

Initial reaction - immensely satisfied. What you can't tell from the pic is the grain and texture of the leather that is now much more visible. What you can tell is the color, which is richer and warmer. And after buffing out the product, the green in the stitching came back, which is great, because the product made it almost grey at first (that made me a little nervous).

I'll live with it some and then will give some thought to a second round with Dr. J.

You're right about the stamp, anyways nice color on the strap, I took mine even lighter than yours, but since I have dark ones don't think I'll be darkening it, I think it'll look best on my 28, even if dark brown looks good the DLC looks better with light brown. Happy I didn't get rid of the 28, for a long time can't say I liked it much, wanted to trade for a 26 but good I didn't, now I really love it, it's even the watch which got the most wrist time in the last month...
