4113/8 Cellini - Info/strap?

This watch recently came to me via a family situation. I knew nothing about the model but found the attached image on the web which appears to be an exact match with the original strap - listed it as a 4113/8 Cellini.

The strap is completely worn out (black leather alligator), and I'm looking to replace it. I also found almost no information on this watch. Any information I can find would be valuable.

What year is this watch?
What is the lug width?
Where is the best place to get a replacement strap?

Thank you.

I don't know the measurement off-hand, but it is easily measured..

Any Authorized Rolex Dealer will have straps, but they start at around 300 bucks. There is no real difference between a "Rolex" strap and a good one from any manufacturer except for the Rolex stamp on the back and the price tag.

The clasp/buckle is the area you need to be careful about. If it is deployant then you need to make sure your new strap will fit properly. If it is buckle and tang you need a strap that tapers correctly for the buckle to fit. Straps are usually measured at the lug and buckle and show the tapes thus: 19/16, which would be a 19mm end tapering to a 16mm buckle.

Good luck.. Cellinis are wonderful dress and every day watches..

Hi,

I've checked my collection of old Cellini catalogues to see if I can give you some idea of when this model, the 4113, was introduced and discontinued. From what I can see, it wasn't listed in the 1970s, but appears in most Cellini catalogues from 1980 through 1996, and disappears when the modern Cellini collection was introduced in the late 1990s/early 2000s. So I would say not any earlier than 1980, and not any later than about 1996. That's just based on a random sampling of Cellini catalogues of course, but should at least give you something to go on. With that info, plus the serial number, you should be able to get it narrowed down a lot better.

Does the worn out strap have a Rolex buckle? If so be sure to save it for your new strap, if you use a non-OEM strap. And then try to get one that tapers to the correct width for the buckle.
