Confused - Glacier blue for white gold?

I thought the glacier blue dial was a platinum only option, but saw this.

And this listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-DAY-DA...p2047675.l2557

Have never seen this dial in person. Have you? Is it not the same dial as the platy DDII? Best

Cannot get it on white gold unless you alter the watch after purchase

Thanks gents. I understand jomashop to be a fairly reputable grey market dealer in NY.

My suggestion, call Rolex in NYC (212) 758 - 7700 --- get the model number of the white gold with glacier dial and then contact a "seller"

Maybe it's the way the picture was taken but my DDII looks different

Day wheel font and cyclops magnification look wrong, although that could be due to the photo. Also, agree that glacier blue is a platinum only feature. Could be a Frankenwatch or a complete fake. I don't think it's 100% Rolex authentic.

I'm interested in the answer to this as well as I just bought thus configuration in platinum. I was also under the impression that the glacier blue dials were specific to the platinum models. I have to think they sourced a glacier dial and fitted it do a white gold ddii.

Glacier blue is only made for platinum DD/DDII but if someone can source a dial which they can outside of US they can have it put on a WG one. Have I seen people do this? Of course and one of our very own here Jocke.

I'll want to do this one day. I love that dial, but I don't think the platinum versions have a fluted bezel; and to me, that is one of my favorite parts of the DD lines.

The posting also mentions diamond markers but the dial doesn't have them. This shop however is well known. My guess is a dial swap and the date wheel is off one cog adjustment.

It does look funky, I agree.

Yes. No platy has the fluted bezel S far as I understand and I agree with you that the bezel is a nice feature I would want on a day date.

Interesting... I have bought winners, boxes, tools and others from jomashop but never a watch. I also understand they are a relatively well regarded grey dealer.
