Is this worth fixing and what would it cost for a new gold crown?

The watch runs and is about 60 years old. The band is broken also.

Any old Rolex or Tudor is worth fixing. The crown is usually replaced with a new case tube and runs a couple of hundred bucks..

I would take this watch in to the Beverly Hills Rolex Center and ask for an estimate for a full service and get it back like new..

I have been charged 100-200 from rsc before, but I just serviced a two tone datejust and they replaced the gold crown and tube as part of the $600 service. Not sure if this was a mistake or they just put it in with the service cost. It was not itemized on paperwork either. Looks like you'll want a service on that baby sodrop it off at a rsc, get an estimate and see what they do for you. Good luck!
