SS YM 2 dilemma...help needed
So I've been planning on picking up a SS Daytona and 114060 this Spiring since last Fall....go to the AD yesterday and he offers me a BNIB YM 2 for just over 15k. Always loved the watch, but never liked the price....now there is only a 2k delta between the 2 or the YM. What do I do?

Depends on what you want.
Personally I do not like the Yachtmaster II, I do like the Sub and the Daytona

I would stay the course. The SS YMII is a fun, novelty piece as part of a larger collection, but as a daily wearer it falls a little short for me. It wears quite large and the complication, while a technical marvel, i don't find it to be incredibly useful in everyday life. It is a great watch, I would just much rather have a Daytona and a Sub for the same $$.

Fall in love with the WG YM-II...problem averted because you'll need another 15-20K
Seriously, I believe you'll enjoy the 2 models vs 1...

As much as I like the YMII, I do feel it's hard to pass up the 2 watches.
I just posted a similar question on the used SD+Pepsi combo or a SDc. |

SS YMII is beautiful, but, if I could only have a Daytona and 114060 or an SS YMII, I would take the two over the one without ANY hesitation, even despite paying 2k more.

Yeah I was a little bemused about all the two watches Vs one comments and surely having a Daytona and SD already adding the YMII would certainly give a nice collection to rotate!
To me having two Daytona's and as much as many will say an SD is not a Sub having the SD and 114060 would for me be too much alike. But each to their own |

Those two for me, I tried on the YM2 and I much preferred the blue YM1, its just not classical looking enough for me, too maverick.
