14060M Question

Can anyone please help me understand why some of the 14060 subs have 2 lines of text on the bottom half of the dial vs. Some having 4 lines of text? Is there any major differences in the versions?

Thanks for any guidance you can offer!

.

Added 2 lines read "superlative chronometer officially certified"

That means that Inside caliber 3130 have been COSC certified. That's the only "technical" difference.

Rolex started to certiify Sub calibers in 2007, at the same time they added engraved rehaut to this model.

The Z serial was the transitional model (both two and four line) if that helps the OP decide.

Thanks everyone! So no difference in the movement, simply the formal testing of the movement?

Nothing simpler or prettier than the classic 2 line 14060, no cyclops, no writing cluttering the dial...

It's the same movement that has been used in the Explorer that was COSC. Just Rolex adding to the references that carry the label.

Here's my 14060m and 5513 side by side. The 5513 is the most accurate of all the watches in the box (including the OQ), keeping perfect time if positioned according to loss/gain overnight.
