Screwdriver Purchase Recommendation Please

Hi Gents,

Would you please recommend a proper screwdriver to use for removing/adding links on modern Rolexes. And, which version of Loctite is recommended? Thank you so much as always.

This information may be a bit too late for ''tomchicago'' but after losing quite a bit of weight by dieting over the past year, I found it necessary to remove two links from my Rolex Datejust. I found the Craftsman Jewelers Screwdriver set sold by Sears was the ideal tool to remove these links. It was only around 10.00-12.00 dollars for the set, works perfectly on Rolex links, and it's also extremely handy for fixing eye glasses etc.

Rolex 2100

Purchased this through my AD. It has a nice hollow ground blade that fits perfectly in Oyster bracelet screws. Plus a little Loctite 222 the U.S. Equivalent to 221 purchased through Grainger.

My AD told me several days ago that the Rolex 2100 screwdriver is discontinued and is no longer available.

Just got mine through my AD a couple weeks ago.

You might want to check another AD.

I use a 1.6mm Panerai style screwdriver, it's a perfect fit. No Loctite BTW.

Strongly suggest you re-think that.

There's a lot riding on those little screws; why not give them the best possible chance to not fail...
