How a Poorly made Rolex Replica made me successful.. Please tell me your story..

Rolex Owners,

This is a pretty long story but it's one I would love to share..

25 Years ago I attended a private all boys private school in Baltimore. My parents not being wealthy struggled to get me the quality education they thought I deserved. While in this school the other kids were pretty well off I mean Porsche for first car well off and after graduation most went on to attend Ivy League schools. After four years with graduation quickly approaching a lot of kids got Rolex's for graduation gifts. My family of course struggle to get me a simple car. I vividly remember the senior trip to NYC I bought a replica Rolex to fit in I mean this thing was barely a watch no way it could pass for a Rolex. The other kids of course were not shy to point it out. I stated I'm not trying to pass it off as real I just want a reminder of what I want and a reminder to work hard so I can get it!!

Fast forward 25 years, I'm now a father of three boys my oldest is in college. I own a IT Security consulting firm and finally got a GMT from my graduation year, yes I still own the replica as a reminder.

I did buy a new Sub while I was hunting for the GMT II...

The moral of the story these watches are not about status they are about personal achievement!!!

I recently got a Rolex GMT that was made my graduation year

Nice story. I've never owned a replica, nor have I ever thought a watch had anything to do with my success, but I understand your premise.
