Hmm, tough choice. How much % diff? I think the original Panda's colors are nicer, but like the new ceramic pushers.

13% difference - And yes, I like the ceramic pushers as well, but I also like the bracelet on the panda - new style clasp too

Agree and as dial is more important to me that's what I would choose.

Panda is a classic. Looks great on the Diver strap...bracelet...or leather.

I would go for the original Panda!

Even thought the new has ceramic pushers and an exhibition case? - I have no idea what to do, going to ship in the morning - 10:30 deadline for decision

It's really about the colors you like more... At that price point, it should 1st be about preference

I like the Panda a bit more.

Has Panda been serviced recently, or if not is it old enough to need one soon? That really needs to be factored in to cost comparison, servicing costs for AP chronos ain't cheap....

Ah, OK...well Panda is the bolder of the two IMO, definitely pops a bit more. I'd say just google images and videos of them both, look over intensely, and go with the one that makes you go "Ahhhhh...." Also don't know dimensions of your wrist, but the white dialed watches do wear a bit larger...if your wrist circumference is under 7" it's a consideration...

I think new. Ceramic pushers and especially exhibition case back are a pretty big deal and will also retain more value if flipping or selling in the future. However, I would not pay much more for the new model and if old can be had at a significant savings that is the way to go with if you like old panda as well.

The price difference is significant - about 3k, so that's substantial but no so substantial it's worth getting the wrong model, I know it comes down to personal preference more than anything. But - you think the new model will hold a higher value for a while? - it's a real quandary because I like the bracelet so much on the panda, I know I would be looking for a bracelet for the new one before too long - I've on straps for quite a while with the Panerai thing so I kind of feel like I've been there and done that.

I am surprised that the price difference is so close. The new ones from TRF are about 23.6k. A panda on strap is about 5k or more less. Are you comparing old on bracelet to new on strap? If so, not quite a fair price comparison.

I would go for old.

As some have already suggested, I would go for the new, with the ceramic pushers and exhibition case back.

Good luck, both choices would be great.

New one, but only because of exibition back, I wish they could change it as an option for the old models when you send your watch in for service to Clearwater.

I think the new model will retain a bit more value primarily because most people love exhibition backs which makes sense since the AP movement is so exquisitely designed and finished.

As an Audemars Piguet purist I'd say go with the Panda. I think the ceramic pushers and crown are a very nice upgrade, not to mention that a display case back is also really nice. Since I like the originals, I would stick to the Panda. Remember the dial layout is also very different now with thinner numerals and a silver ring around the date aperture in addition to the new hands that are like those on the 44mm Offshores

Either way you can't go wrong. It really comes to a matter of taste.
