Undecided, more opinions please

Well last week I asked for opinions wheather I should flip my ROC and Explorer II for a 15202 and many of you chimed in, which I really appreciated.

After reading your comments and doing some meditation I decided that at this moment in time, the 15202 is not worth over $20k to me, hopefully when I get richer it will 😁.

Well that being said, since the Explorer II was not really being worn that much and kind of lost the love for it, I sold it to a friend of mine, and decided to use the funds towards an AP steel diver.

Well now I would like your opinion on the following question.

What makes more sense in my collection? ROC and Diver? Or RO 15400 and Diver?

Other than those two watches I also have a SubC. So if I keep the ROC I feel I'll be missing a dressier piece. And the RO although by no means is the same watch as the Jumbo, does share a very similar look.

So option 1?

Or 2?

I think the dial of the ROC is stunning, I esp like the Automatic under the AP logo as it is on the Jumbo, and also the subdials fit the bigger 41mm case better so that would be my choice.

Option 1, I think the ROC is not very sporty and can be worn as a "dressy watch" unless if you have a lot of formal events etc...

Good luck.

Option 1. 15400 and Diver looks similar. ROC adds a little spice to the combo. Furthermore, ROC is versatile for both casual and formal.

Ok I know I sound like a broken record and to be honest I feel like a woman going through menopause with all my indecisions, I'm stressing the sh*t out of myself, then i feel bad since they're just silly watches.

But besides those two options, a third option would be just the Jumbo. Seriously, everytime I make up my mind, I start seeing photos of the Jumbo and it draws me back to it. That and all the posts from Jumbo owners that speak so highly of it.

So my collection could be any one of these (the SubC is not going anywhere)

1. ROC, Diver, SubC
2. 15400, Diver, SubC
3. 15202, SubC

So my thoughts are a bit different but IMO, the ROC is too in-between a RO and ROO (as it was meant to be) and the Diver is a bit too tame as a ROO (again, JMO).

I think that's why you're having some trouble with choices as they are all "middle of the road".

Personally I would sell the Diver, get a 15400 and add a ROO Chrono (42mm Panda for example or one of the 2014 releases).

The thing is I'm not into ROOs, that's why I like the Diver, because it's a little tame as a ROO as you put it. Thanks for your suggestion though.

I'd lean towards option 1, but would seriously consider a white dialed, panda or even blue ROC (depending on what you think of the 39mm vs 41mm watches) to avoid having three black dialed watches. Obviously get what you like, but I like a little variety.

I would go with Option 3, as I currently have the ROC and SubC as well and have never been able to get the 15202 out of my mind.

I have thought about selling my ROC, but don't want to give up my SubC or PAM at this time as well to get the 15202. But if you are able to keep the SubC, I think the 15202 and SubC pairing is great, giving you both the dressier and sportier watch options.

My grail is actually the 15305, but that's going to still take some time for me to get there. So that's why I've been holding off on the 15202, as I also can't get the 15305 out of my mind :)

With the Diver and SubC and wanting a dressier option on your wrist, I think it's worth considering a 15300 instead of the ROC.

That being said, if you want to stay larger, I would keep the ROC over flipping for a 15400.

I like option 3. 15202 trumps 15400 all day and I don't love ROOs, based on my personable preference for lighter smaller watches. I do lust a fc diver though, which I assume is light.

I'll go with option 2:

Why? Because that's the route I want to take
I already have the 15400 blue and want to add the diver soon. I think it would be a great complement to both pieces. Goodluck with the decision.

Option 2, but I will go for a white dial or blue dial for the RO.

Of these I would still pick 1 as you get two great APs, but if the RO, 400 or 202, was in gold then 3.

It seems like you keep going back to the jumbo so I say 15202 FTW! Sporty and elegant or save some more and bump up your budget for a 5711 blue dial.

Now that 15202 is included as an option, I would say go for option 3, i.e. 15202 & SubC. You can get back another ROC (perhaps in silver dial) later if you feel like having a chrono again.

I would go with Option 1. You gotta have a chrono in your collection. Plus, for me, the ROC is a really under appreciated model. Most people would go for ROO.
