Guys, no photos but I have tried this watch on today at my AD and it is absolutely awesome.

It wears smaller than my SubC but the size and dimensions are perfect, it feels and looks like an updated ceramic Sub should have been. It is all the watch I will ever need and I intend to purchase.

If you can get one or even see one just do it.

The smaller lugs give the SDc a feeling of and updated non ceramic Sub/SD and the lines look classic Rolex Diver.

My view is Rolex will change the Sub at some stage to reflect this slim lug look.

The SDc is a total winner and perfect, the best watch Rolex has ever made for me.

Well I like the SDc because it wears smaller.

You like the SubC because it wears larger.

You really need to try this new SDc on, without doing that your comments on thickness and size are useless.

It seems weird that a smaller thicker watch is better but it is, a huge amount better.

Rolex will change the Sub, they have to at some stage in the future now.

I love my WG Sub and it's proportions are perfect for me as well!

As for new SD...to the OP and all who like it...Glad they make plenty of watches that appeal to our own likes! That is a very good thing as we all can't like and want the same watches or life would be boring!

Why do they have to? The maxi case has been around for awhile now and by all accounts it's pretty popular. Seems to me the reason they didn't go the "wear bigger" route with the SD4000 is because they already had the DSSD out. This gives the new SD a different look from both the DSSD and the Sub.

Frankly though, I'm a bit surprised they didn't bridge the gap size-wise with the SD4000 by making it 42mm.

If they'd done it in 42mm I would buy one in a heart beat, but I have a larger wrist and have also had a DSSD and like larger cases, I have a sub C ceramic now and appreciate the stealth aspect of it compared to where I came from with the DSSD but for me a 42mm would be perfect. That being said I haven't had the pleasure of seeing the new 4000 in the flesh.
