Who has bought at the new price?
Most of us are not happy with the price increase, but has that stopped anyone from buying at the new price? So how many of you have bought a Rolex at the new price point even if you did get a discount?

I bought the SD at new MSRP but I don't mind. I'm just happy that I got one without the rehaut branding.

I was sniffing around, looking for a "beater" on Saturday. A $5800 Explorer II (before negotiation and haggling) was still a fair price BUT it put the watch above what I wanted to spend. Petty? Yes and an Explorer is far from a beater watch but I went over and looked at Tags, Omegas and <snickering> a Fortis or two instead of getting "into it" for the Explorer.
When it's time I'll probably gray market or purchased used for my Explorer II. but while at my AD I put my name on the Milgaus list so I guess Rolex didn't price me out quite yet. |
