Hello all,
I am a new member. My name is Chad Schmidt and I live in the bi state St. Louis area. I am currently searching for my first Rolex. I have been meaning to purchase a Rolex for a few years now but other toys have seemed to suck the old money buck clean. Well, the bucket is finally full again so a Daytona is getting priority. Plus, the wife is cool with it so you can't beat that with a stick. Anyway, I hope my stay will be enjoyable and a good learning experience to boot. Thanks in advance, Chad |

Welcome to TRF, Chad!
The Daytona is a very fine watch, indeed. It's movement ranks on the Top Ten list over the best movements EVER made. If you like, you can read my review of the SS Daytona 116520. I hope you get one soon!

Chad, have you decided which Daytona you would like to get? I would recommend getting on the list for one of these.

Thank you all for the kind words and warm reception. I just bought a Canon D40 that I need some snap time behind so expect a few pictures once the watch is in hand.
For those of you who asked which Daytona I am looking for...below is a picture of the elusive beast. I honestly can not wait. If I am unable to locate a new one with this dial I am going to try and see if Rolex will do a dial swap on any new TT for me. I will be sure to let everyone know how things go. Thanks again, |
